Front-End Development
I was responsible for the StudyPods brand. I designed the StudyPods logo, which is a registered trademark. I was responsible for the site’s design, which adheres to responsive web and mobile dimensions. StudyPods is a complex product with several features that require different interfaces such as the calendar, messaging, groups, tasks and profile pages.
I also spearheaded the creation of the StudyPods marketing plan, which included a variety of marketing campaigns, tactics, financial requirements and timelines.
I wrote, designed, and implemented emails for bulk promotional campaigns, which we sent to almost half a million college students at the largest universities in Texas. The average conversion rate was 2.8%
I ran online and print advertising campaigns in Texas colleges and universities including Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Tyler.
I designed, developed, managed and regularly contributed content to the StudyPods blog, which had an average of 5,000 monthly readers.
I designed promotional print branding items such as shirts, postcards, flyers, banners and even a photo booth.
StudyPods has a strong social media presence with custom pages on top social networks, which I lead and monitored. I developed and implemented a firm but evolving social media schedule based on market research and our own user’s actions and engagement.
I also organized and monitored SEO and analytics for the StudyPods site and social networks. I implemented SEO tactics that led to Google and other search engines indexing thousands of pages on the StudyPods website, which resulted in a large increase in traffic on the site. We also actively practiced white-hat SEO strategies to raise our domain authority. Through analytics, we tracked and created reports for visits, unique visits, page views, time-on-site, bounce rate, referrals and several other key metrics.
