I started working at PersonalWeb in February 2011 as creative director and was promoted to director of marketing in 2012.

I started the PersonalWeb campaign from scratch with the logo, which is now a registered trademark. I created the company’s cross-browser compatible website, which is responsive and included design, copy writing, photography, and development.

PersonalWeb actively participated in the community and had a close relationship with the University of Texas at Tyler. I visited the campus on behalf of PersonalWeb multiple times to guest lecture in marketing, journalism, and design classes. I attended computer science Capstone presentations every semester to evaluate the students’ work, and I represented PersonalWeb at multiple Career Fairs on campus.

We documented all of these events through PersonalWeb’s social media presence on Facebook and Twitter. I also coordinated efforts to reach out to local media resulting in community news and feature stories.

I wrote or edited all of PersonalWeb’s press releases, which were distributed to media outlets all over the country. Many were circulated by large publishers including The Boston Globe, The Sacramento Bee, and Los Angeles Daily News. They were also picked up by several technology and education outlets such as EdTech Times and Virtual Strategy Magazine.

PersonalWeb also requires standard branding items such as business cards, stationary, and signage, which I design and have printed.
